Vacant lots that until recently had grass and weeds in abundance. Then a few weeks ago---nothing.
Now do you see what I'm talking about?

I've been seeing more and more of this in Woodlawn, and it is not consistent, as far as I can tell. One lot will be brown, and the one across the street will still be green. Why some and not the others? Why at all? Ownership? Interest by parties someone does not want (although honestly, interest would be a start, we have more than enough empty lots in this neighborhood, but dead lots can't help.)
Where do we start? Ask our alderman?
I've noticed this on the lot by our place at Marquette and Woodlawn. When I read your first post, I figured it was because we were having a dry spring, but then I noticed lots up on 63rd as green as ever. There is definitely something to this and it has me worried. People let their dogs run on our lot and that just can't be good.
