Still Looking For Those Righteous

Well I found the evil.

Every time I think we have it tough, I find someone who has it worse.

I've previously stated that I wouldn't wish this on anyone but it's somewhat comforting to know we're not alone in the crappy developer department.

Granville Condo Nightmare Not Over

Dear Woodlawn Wonder,

I almost fell into this trap on Granville. Beautiful old apt that needed tons of work, very cheap-perfect outlet for my creativity, for I have been chomping at the bit to do another reno for 20 years.

My great real estate agent saved me from 1054 W. Granville, and also saved me from two other similar imbroglios.

You have saved me from many others. Thanks to your blog, I am much more distrustful of new rehabs and developments, if I weren't already.

You have my profound sympathy. You have performed a real public service by chronicalling your difficulties and have probably helped hundreds of people become more alert to potential problems and thus avoid disasters like this.

I hope you can get monetary relief commensurate with the damage you have taken. You are surely entitled to that.

Thank you.

Thanks P.

My writing started out more as a therapy than to be informative. Nonetheless, I'm glad it turned out that our collective negative experiences may have helped someone avoid the same kind of potential issues.

Keep the faith.
